Baramulla: Security forces on Sunday busted a terrorist recruitment module in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Female Terror associate was among the three Lashkar-e-Taiba's over-ground workers (OGWs). The arrested OGWs have been identified as Lateef Ahmad Dar, Showkat Ahmad Lone and Ishrat Rasool.

Notably, sources revealed that women in Kashmir getting involved in terrorism. This emerged as a new challenge for security forces. A new breed of female terror associate poses multiple threats for the forces in Kashmir.

According to reports, after receiving specific input a joint Naka was established at Chak Tappar by SOG Kreeri in Baramulla by 29 RR and 52 RR. The security forces observed a suspicious movement of three people. They were later apprehended by the forces.

One Chinese grenade was recovered from Latif’s possession. Two grenades were recovered from Lateef Ah Dar and 30 AK-47 rds were recovered from Ishrat Rasool. All three individuals were OGWs of LeT.

Interrogation confirmed that they had identified four youths in the general area of Kreeri and were about to get them active and join the terrorist outfit in the near future. The arrested LeT OGWs were the masterminds of the recruitment module in the general area of Kreeri and were also in touch with active militants Umar Lone and FT Usman. An FIR has been registered in the matter.

Earlier this month a female OGW and wife of the Killed LET Commander was arrested from North Kashmir's Bandipora village. These arrests indicated how Pakistan-based Terror outfits are using female workers to transport arms and ammunition from one location to another.
