Six F-16 & One C130 Aircraft of Singapore Air Force Make Emergency Landing At Port Blair Airport
Six F-16 fighters and one C130 Aircraft of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) today made an emergency landing at Port Blair Airport, which is actually an Indian Navy Airport named INS Utkrosh.
According to reports due to fuel shortage all the aircraft made emergency landing at INS Utkrosh base. Although officials of Andaman and Nicobar Command were unavailable for a comment in this regard but insiders told Andaman Sheekha that the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) aircraft were heading for India’s Kalaikunda Air Force Station for training program with Indian Air Force (IAF).
The bilateral agreement between India and Singapore was signed in 2017, in this regard. Sources said that after refuelling at Port Blair all aircraft made a halt for one day at Port Blair due to bad weather conditions.
The Aircraft landed at around 9.00 AM but since morning the roaring of Fighter Jets over Port Blair sky, kept people speculating about possibility of any fighter jet training near Andaman. But after landing of these F-16 aircraft, the news spread in Port Blair like Jungle fire and hundreds of people gathered near airport to see the fighter jets.
