The Army chief appreciated the officers and troops for carrying out their responsibility which has resulted in foiling many BAT actions on the Line of Control (LoC).

Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat on Tuesday praised the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and said that the agency has been effective with its large number of convictions.

While speaking at the Army Commanders’ Conference, Gen Bipin Rawat said, "There has been effective and large number of convictions and this could happen due to synergy among the security forces and the agencies. Such synergy with the law enforcing agencies will be reinforced."

The Army chief appreciated the officers and troops for carrying out their responsibility which has resulted in foiling many Border Action Team (BAT) actions on the Line of Control (LoC) and terrorists' action in the hinterland.

Army Commanders’ Conference which commenced on October 14, 2019, in New Delhi has been based on a new modality in which the requirements of field forces, deployed in tough and challenging environment, are to be addressed in time-bound manner.

Time-bound completion of tasks and projects to meet the ground situation and requirements will be the foremost priority for the Army Commanders’ Conference.

In his address, Gen Bipin Rawat complimented the troops to have steadfastly faced the challenges along Western and Eastern borders and in the hinterland.

He also highlighted the innovation and ingenuity of soldiers and junior leaders in operational areas. "It is indeed heartening to see soldiers and junior leaders respond to difficult operational situations in the most innovative manner and such ingenious approach is a great enabler in successful operations along the LoC and in the hinterland," the Army chief said.
