India Ups Ante Against Pakistan, Says 'Fabricated' Narrative Against India Won't Move Focus From Crimes In PoK

New York: India, on Tuesday, upped the ante against human rights violations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and hit out at Islamabad for using 'Fabricated' narrative against India. Hours ahead of PM Narendra Modi's meeting with the US, Senthil Kumar, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India to UN in Geneva said that Pakistan's rhetoric will not 'divert international attention' from 'elimination of religious' minorities in PoK.
"We will advise Pakistan to look into its own cases of hatred, discrimination and intolerance committed against ethnic minorities in Pakistan occupied J&K, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan and Sindh. Any rhetoric by Pak will not divert international attention from Pakistan’s persecution and elimination of religious and ethnic minorities - be it Christians, Sikhs, Shias, Ahmadiyas and Hindus," Kumar said on Tuesday.
Kumar's comments come on the backdrop of statements by key Indian decision-makers, namely Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu among others.
Most recently, Jaishankar had said that India will one day have a physical jurisdiction over PoK. Speaking in Lok Sabha, Shah too had said that PoK is a part of India. Naidu had also said that the only dialogue with Pakistan would be on PoK.
Meanwhile, voices of discontent from within PoK have also been reverberating across global platforms. On Tuesday, World Baloch Organisation launched a campaign in New York to highlight human rights violations in Baluchistan.
