Now Pakistan Can Barely Save PoK: Bilawal Bhutto Attacks Imran Khan
Pak Opposition leader Bilawal Bhutto attacked Imran Khan over his Kashmir policy. Bhutto said that Imran Khan's policies have made Pak so weak that it can barely save PoK. This comes a day after Imran Khan issued a nuclear threat to India over Kashmir
A day after Pakistan PM Imran Khan issued a nuclear threat to India, Pakistan Opposition leader and Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto said earlier Pakistan would talk about snatching Srinagar from India, but now it has become difficult to even save Muzaffarabad.
Addressing a gathering on Monday, Bhutto, who is chief of the main opposition party in Pakistan, said, "Earlier our policy on Kashmir would be on how to grab Srinagar, now it is about how to save Muzaffarabad."
Muzaffarabad is the capital of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Bhutto blamed Imran Khan government's weak policies for the current state of affairs.
This comes a day after PM Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump and both agreed that Kashmir is a bilateral matter. After the bonhomie between the two leaders was on display at the G7 Summit in France, Imran Khan addressed the nation and said Pakistan will go to any extent for Kashmir.
He then went on to say that Pakistan wouldn't be afraid of using its nuclear powers for Kashmir.
Recently, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had said that the Modi government's decision to scrap Article 370 and strip Jammu and Kashmir of its special status is an internal matter and while Pakistan is trying to internationalise the issue, India is now only interested in discussing PoK with Pakistan.
Ever since the August 5 decision of abrogation of Article 370, Imran Khan has knocked on the doors of the global community, including United Nations and countries such as the US, Saudi Arabia, Russia and others.
However, although some countries expressed concerns regarding the tension between India and Pakistan, all agreed and maintained that Kashmir is a bilateral matter between India and Pakistan with no scope for mediation.
A few days ago, Rajnath Singh had said that India is now only interested in talking about PoK. Rajnath Singh implied that Kashmir is also off the table now that Pakistan has continuously tried to internationalise the bilateral matter that is Kashmir.
