IAF's Abhinandan Varthaman Fit To Fly, To Get Vir Chakra
IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has cleared medical and fitness tests and is all set to fly again but the date of joining and the venue of Abhinanda Varthaman's new posting are still not known. New Delhi: Indian Air Force's (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman underwent medical and fitness tests a few days ago. Abhinandan Varthama has now cleared all the medical tests.
As per the IAF sources, Abhinandan Varthaman is all set to resume flying after a long vacation.
However, the date of joining and the venue of Abhinanda Varthaman's new posting are still not known.
Abhinandan Varthaman was taken off flying duties due to injuries sustained in Pakistan after ejecting from his MiG-21 Bison fighter jet during a fight with Pakistan on February 27, 2019.
The IAF recommended Abhinandan Varthaman for wartime gallantry medal Vir Chakra in the month of April this year.
The IAF foiled the Pakistani retaliation, and in the dogfight, Abhinandan Varthaman downed an F-16 fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force, showing grit, determination and bravery.
Abhinandan Varthaman had became the face of the military confrontation between the two countries.
