In an official communique army stated that VCOAS was briefed in detail on the operational preparedness along the Line of actual Control(LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh. The region assumes special significance in the face off constant Chinese transgressions 

GUWAHATI: Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) D Anbu visited Army’s Gajraj Corps and was briefed in detail on the operational preparedness along the Line of actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh.

He was on a two day visit on June 29 and 30. In an official communique Army stated that VCOAS was briefed in detail on the operational preparedness along the Line of actual Control(LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh and also on the Internal security situation in the insurgency affected area of Assam.

The statement added that during his interaction with the troops, the VCOAS appreciated their hard work and dedication in their brave endeavours to safe guard the nation’s border while operating in hostile terrain and adverse weather conditions. Anbu expressed satisfaction with the overall operational preparedness of Gajraj Corps.
