Russia Constructs World's Longest Submarine
Russia has increased its military strength further. It has included the world’s longest submarine in his navy. It has been named Belgorod. Experts say that 604 feet long Belgorod is so powerful that it can destroy the entire city by a single blow. In it, torpedoes are equipped with 6 nuclear weapons. The 6 Torpedo carry two meta tonne explosives.
You can understand the potential of the Meta tonne explosive in this way that it is 130 times more than the atomic bomb dropped on Japan’s Hiroshima. Experts say that a radioactive tsunami can occur if the 79ft long Torpedo Poseidon or Canyon mounted in the Belgorod submarine will be used within the sea.
Radioactive tsunami can bring catastrophe in many coastal cities, and waves up to 300 feet high in the ocean can also rise. According to the Russian media, Belgorod submarines can kill range of thousands of kilometres and its speed is 80 miles per hour.
According to Russia’s media, the commander of this submarine will report straight to Putin. It will work for Russia like Underwater Intelligence Agency and the underwater vehicles with it will be able to mapping the sea level in depth.
Regarding this, Siddharth Kaushal of the Royal United Service Institute says that Belgorod submarine will prove to be very important for Russia. Because it can be used to ruin the internet cable spread across the ocean.
Knowledgeable defence experts point out that by increasing the Navy power of Russia, India will also benefit somewhere. Because the Indian Navy has been buying submarines from Russia.
Recently, India has entered into a $ 3 billion deal with Russia to lease the attacker submarine equipped with nuclear capability. Under this agreement, Russia will assign the submarine of Akula class to the Indian Navy by 2025.
Prior to this, India had taken the first Russian nuclear powered submarine INS Chakra on a three year lease in 1988. After this, the second INS Chakra was acquired in 2012 for ten years lease.
