The IAF is yet to respond to Pakistan's claims

Pakistan army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor on Tuesday has alleged that the Indian Air Force (IAF) had violated the Line of Control (LoC).

In a tweet, Ghafoor claimed, "Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian jets gone back. Details to follow."

The IAF is yet to respond to these claims.

Major General Asif Ghafoor has claimed that the Indian aircraft intruded into Pakistan from from the Muzaffarabad sector.

Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan violated ceasefire at Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Pakistan fired at many posts across the border during the night.

Pakistan's claim came amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan after the February 14 attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad that killed at least 40 CRPF soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

On Monday, top Pakistan Army official had said that his country's armed forces are "fully prepared" for a befitting response to "any Indian aggression or misadventure".

Army spokesman Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa met Air chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and the two chiefs deliberated on operational environment including threat and response.

"Both chiefs expressed satisfaction on readiness, coordination and synergy. Pakistan Armed Forces are fully prepared for a befitting response to any Indian aggression or misadventure," he had added.

Gen Bajwa also reportedly visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps, where he was briefed on operational situation and state of readiness along the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB).

Days after the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said security forces were given a free hand to avenge the dastardly act.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan defended his country from blame for the attack, and threatened to retaliate if India attacked.
