Army Launches Massive Search Operations In 18 South Kashmir Villages
Massive search operations were launched by the Indian Army in 18 villages
Army is conducting search operations in 18 villages in Pulwama and Shopian. Indian Army along with CRPF and J&K Police are conducting the operations. This is first massive operation after over 10 relatives of police officials were abducted last week.
The Indian Army launched massive search and cordon operations in 18 villages in Pulwama and Shopian districts of South Kashmir early today morning.
The Army's 55 Rashtriya Rifles, 44 Rashtriya Rifles, and 53 Rashtriya Rifles battalions along with units from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force are carrying out the operations.
Search operations are being carried out in Rohmu, Below, Rajpora, Mitrigam, Frasipura, Gasu, Kucchepura, Chak, Mirgund, Murran, Zagigam, Tukarpura, Kamazipura, Drubgam, Hanjan, Ayangund, Shekharpora villages.
This is the first major operation by the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police after over 10 close family members of the J&K Police personnel were abducted last week. Reports suggested that most of the abducted people were taken taken from Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama and Awantipora districts.
