Hindustan Shipyard Limited Bags 230-Cr Contract
A Bollard Pull Tugs (BPT) of the Indian Navy
The Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) bagged a contract worth Rs 230 crore to construct four 50-T Bollard Pull Tugs (BPT) for Indian Navy by emerging as the lowest bidder in a competitive bidding process.
This contract would weigh up the existing order book position of Hindustan Shipyard which would enable effective utilisation of valuable infrastructure of the shipyard.
With substantial improvement in performance and financial indices over the last three years, the Hindustan Shipyard is confident of completing the construction well within the stipulated time, meeting the quality requirements of Indian Navy.
It may be recalled that the Hindustan Shipyard recently bagged Rs 2,020 crore contract through a competitive bidding process to build two diving support vessels (DSV) for the Indian Navy.
