Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been ranked third among the top leaders of the world in the Gallup International Association (GIA) and CVoter International collaborative survey, leaving behind China's Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Theresa May.
The survey, conducted across 50 nations, ranked Modi at number three just behind French president Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Markel who topped the survey.
GIA Global Polls - Top 10 (Others)
Around 53,769 persons were interviewed globally with each country having a representative sample of around 1,000 men and women who were interviewed either face-to-face, or via phone, or through online mediums.
The survey began in October and respondents' results were completed by December 2017.

Prime Minister Modi will be on a two-day visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting between January 22 and 23.
Modi has left behind leaders like China's Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu amongst others.
