Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) Sets Sights On Western Africa

VASCO: Chairman and managing director of Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) Shekhar Mital on Friday announced that GSL will sign more export projects with western Africa.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony, Mital said that the project, under the 'Make in India' initiative, will not only make the defence industry self-reliant in the filed of warship technology, but also provide a boost to the Goan economy via direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Mital also spoke about GSL's excellent performance on the export front, especially the shipyard's emergence as the largest exporter of defence ships from the Indian subcontinent.
